Still, one thing we do know is this: It’s different and unusual enough to be amazing, and the designers created a sturdy, durable product that looks great almost anywhere.

You’ve probably never heard of Abba (the company, not the band). They’re not very big or well-known, and they import their wares from China for resale here. So, the quality of this lounger is a bit below what you’ll find offered by outdoor furniture brands whose products are made in the US.

Even so, Abba’s lounger offers tremendous comfort and value for the money.

Let’s start with a quick overview of its core stats. Here are the basics:

We should confess right off the bat that this bed is clearly designed for two people to enjoy lounging together.

You can certainly do that, but not if one of you is on the heavy side. If you plan to use this as a lounger and are a heavier individual, plan on using it solo, or you’ll likely exceed the bed’s maximum supported weight.

Other than that single caveat, these numbers are magnificent. There’s plenty of room to stretch and spread out. The sturdy tubed steel frame and polyester filament hammock can support an impressive amount of weight. We love it, and we think you will, too.

Adjustability and Comfort

This will be a relatively short section since there’s nothing adjustable about the Abba Patio double chaise lounge hammock bed. It is, however, delightfully comfortable. The sunshade helps more than you might think, and since it’s open on the sides, it allows whatever wind might be blowing to waft over you, keeping you cool gently.

Even better, the Abba Patio Hammock comes with two modestly padded block foam pillows, kept in place by a Velcro strip at the bottom of each pillow. This makes it ideal for naps on leisurely weekends. If you want to enhance the comfort further, you can easily add as many outdoor throw pillows as you’d like.

Although the Chaise lounge/hammock isn’t adjustable, it does sport a pair of wheels on its base. Given its weight, most people should have little difficulty moving it from one location to another if the situation calls for it. Still, it’s also heavy enough that it would take a tropical force wind even to move it an inch, which puts it right in the product weight sweet spot as far as we’re concerned.

Assembly is Required

Here, the fact that it’s a Chinese import is shown. The production quality is above average, but you may struggle with pieces that don’t fit together quite how they should. The assembly instructions are clear, but you shouldn’t have much difficulty determining which pieces go where.

Given the sheer size of this product, though, this is probably one of those times you’ll want to have an assistant on standby to give you a hand with the assembly process. Doing it independently is possible, but you’ll probably find it intensely frustrating. The pieces are so big that it’s just ungainly, especially with only two hands involved.

Honestly, there are only two real drawbacks to consider regarding this product: First, the company is off-brand, and getting post-sales support could be a bit of an adventure. And two, this is kind of a self-selecting product. You will either fall in love with it as we did or not be impressed.
