Do you own a nail salon or a spa? Are you thinking of replacing your current lineup of pedicure chairs? Or perhaps you’re planning to start one of the abovementioned businesses and looking to investigate the possibilities?

Either way, you’re in luck! We’ve scoured the internet to find the best pedicure chairs on the market today, and we’ll present our findings in the sections below.

Selection Criteria

“Best” is, of course, a highly subjective term. What makes one model superior in one person’s eyes may leave someone feeling underwhelmed.

Given that, when we selected the shortlist of the best pedicure chairs on the market today, we tried to account for a wide range of tastes and preferences while keeping the value proposition in mind. After all, what good is the “best” chair if it’s priced so far out of reach that no one can afford it? Thus, we considered three significant factors:

  • Price versus performance,
  • Features designed with the salon technician in mind, and
  • Creature comforts, implemented with the client in mind.

Our ideal chair has a good mix of all three, and with that in mind, let’s take a closer look at our overall winner and the other worthies we found.

Our Pick: Belava Elevate Pedicure Chair

There’s so much to like about the Belava Elevate that one struggles even to find a place of beginning. In our view, it’s 100% deserving of the title of the best pedicure chair on the market today.

The thing that stands out for us the most is its extreme modularity. If you prefer, you can buy the base model chair, which comes with a single step to make it easier for the client to get in and out. Or, if your budget allows for more, you can buy a whole host of add-ons that blend seamlessly with the base model to create a deluxe salon station, providing unparalleled customer comfort, extreme ease of use for the technician, and convenience, thanks to the added storage you can purchase.

In addition, the Elevate takes modularity to the next level because if you like, you can arrange these chairs to create your own pedicure station bench, aligning several Elevates next to each other in sequence, where they’ll fit seamlessly. This is fantastic for couples’ pedicures or if you’re looking to maximize shop floor space and fit as many chairs into your salon as possible.

An Image Sample of Belava Elevate Remote Control for Best Pedicure Chairs

The Elevate goes far beyond just that, however. The technician can control the height of the chair, adjusting it up or down by as much as 9” at the touch of a button for easier access. The technician’s chair is comfortable and fitted with casters allowing for ease of mobility. The client’s footrest is also well-designed and not so low that the technician will have to bend over unduly. Plus, the bowl is designed to use custom-fitted liners, which makes cleanup between clients a snap.

It’s not all about convenience for the technician, either. The Elevate doesn’t skimp when it comes to providing clients with creature comforts. You can add a pedestal next to the chair to hold the client’s bag or drink, and the chair comes with both heat and a vibration-style massage that can be controlled by the client via a simple, intuitive wired remote.

While it’s true that there are other chairs on the market today that offer a better massage, or more creature comforts, we find the Belava Estate to be the perfect blending of form, function, performance, comfort, and convenience. It’s a remarkable design, by any reckoning.

If the Elevate has a downside, it’s that it costs more than the average chair. There’s a price to be paid for all that convenience, comfort, and functionality, but this is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. The Belava Elevate is a wonder.

Runner-Up: J&A Cleo GX Pedicure Chair

Runner-Up
Cleo GX Pedicure Spa Chair by J&A
4.3

Recommended For: Small to medium-sized spas and salons in need of a well-engineered chair offering solid value for the money.

Check Current Price Read Detailed Review

Although J&A didn’t win top honors from us, looking at their product line as a whole, we’d easily rate them as the best pedicure chair brand operating in the industry today. Their lineup is just exquisite, and their designs offer something for everyone, whatever your budget or preferences might be.

We love the Cleo GX for many reasons, but if we had to pick just one thing as our favorite aspect of the design, we’d go with the jets in the tub.

Powered by the company’s “DuraJet II” technology, these jets offer an exquisite foot massage that few other models in the industry can compete with. That, combined with the shower head located above the bowl, provides a one-two punch that delivers the ultimate pedicure experience.

The Cleo GX likely would have taken top honors if it had included a massage function and heat in the chair, but alas, those things are absent in this design. The chair does offer a client tray with a cup holder and a comfortable pillow in terms of creature comforts, and the footrest has a three-stage adjustment feature, allowing the client to make adjustments as needed, either to increase their comfort or to increase ease of access for the technician.

In addition to that, technicians will love the fact that the bowl is compatible with the standard J&A bowl liner, making cleanup between clients a snap. On the client side, the one thing we wish the Cleo GX offered was at least some space for product storage, but this is a minor gripe in the greater scheme of things, and we believe this model is well deserving of its second-place spot on our list.

Value Pick: T4 Stellar Pedicure Chair

Value Pick
T4 Spa Stellar Pedicure Chair
3.9

Recommended For: Anyone who wants to give their clients added massage experience. Its relatively small size is ideal for smaller spas and salons.

Check Current Price Read Detailed Review

We love the T4 Stellar but did not allow our personal preferences to influence its overall position on the chart. Hands down, the best thing about this pedicure chair is the client massage function. We love massage chairs, so of course, this chair hit the right note for us.

Where many of the pedicure chairs on the market today offer a basic vibration (and sometimes Shiatsu) massage, the T4 Stellar ups the ante considerably. The massage chair is built by Human Touch, one of the finest companies in the massage chair industry.

While it’s true that the massage offered by Human Touch’s dedicated massage chairs is superior to the one provided by the T4 Spa, the Stellar’s is far and away superior to the massage offered by most other pedicure chairs on the market today, featuring the following pre-programmed massage routines:

  • Stretch – which kneads your back on both sides of your spine in small, circular motions
  • Tone – A combination of circular kneading and rapid tapping motions
  • Flex – A vigorous massage that verges on being deep tissue
  • Glide – A gentle massage designed to maximize relaxation

That, combined with the foot massage jets in the bowl makes it just about the perfect client-centric chair.

On the flip side, the Stellar offers relatively little in the way of convenience features for the technician. If you’re looking for a model that makes your employees’ jobs faster, easier, or more efficient, there are better models out there, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find another model at any price that pampers your clients quite like this one.

Ultimately, it depends on what you’re looking for, but the Stellar belongs on your shortlist!

Pibbs PS93 Footsie Pedicure Spa Chair

Pibbs PS93 Footsie Pedicure Spa
3.8

Recommended For: Anyone looking for a pedicure chair that's got all the basics covered, but especially those on a budget.

Check Current Price Read Detailed Review

Pibbs products appear at least semi-regularly in “best pedicure chairs reviews,” and with good reason. While it’s true they’re aimed at the budget segment of the market, they’re excellent products and provide tremendous value for the money

The PS93 is no exception. Costing a fraction of what deluxe pedicure chairs will run you, this little guy is a real workhorse that has a lot going for it.

First and foremost, it’s a completely plumbing-free design. The “Footsie Bath” bowl has to be manually filled, and the bowl utilizes liners which makes cleanup between clients a snap. Controls for the foot bath are located on the side of the unit, allowing you to set the water temperature (controlled by dual heating elements) for a soothing, relaxing client experience.

The foot bath can also be tucked away inside the unit when not in use, saving space on the salon floor, and the unit has some onboard product storage space.

The chair sits on a pedestal and swivels, making it easier for your clients to sit in and get up from it easily, and the footrest is manually adjustable to make life easier for the technician performing the pedicure. In addition, the PS93 offers a six-setting vibration massage controlled by the client via a wired remote.

Where a great many models on the market today tend toward fancy, high-tech solutions, the PS93 is decidedly old school. Almost everything has to be manually adjusted. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, and in fact, it could easily be seen as a positive. After all, with relatively few high-tech controls, there’s simply less that can go wrong with the chair, and no expensive electronics to replace if something breaks.

If you’re looking for a chair that’s chock full of features, offered in a durable, simple, easy-to-use package, and can be had for a song, then the PS93 is the chair you’re looking for. A great value for the money, and highly recommended.

Litebox ONE Smart Pedicure Chair

An Image Sample of One Smart Chair (by Lite-box) for Best Pedicure Chairs

In our view, our roundup review of the best pedicure spa chairs on the market today would not be complete without the inclusion of the ONE Smart Chair. It has a lot to offer, but it was a real struggle to decide where to place it on our list.

On the one hand, it’s a high-tech wonder. Sleek and futuristic looking with LED lights, auto-fill sensors for the bowl, and an auto-drain system which makes the technician’s job easier and more efficient.

Plus it offers both foot massage jets in the bowl and a basic, vibration style back massage for increased client comfort. The massage is a nice touch, although of course, we’d have liked it even better if it had been more robust. Even so, the fact that it’s present in any form is a big nod in the Smart Chair’s favor.

Our biggest issue, and the thing that gave us the most pause, was the fact that we’ve seen more than a few user complaints on the web taking issue with the company’s post-sales service and support.

The high-tech feature set is terrific, but if it breaks and you struggle to get service and support, it doesn’t do you much good. Ultimately, that’s why the Smart Chair wound up with its middle-of-the-pack position behind J&A, which offers world-class post-sales support for its products.

All that to say, your mileage may vary. It’s entirely possible that if you buy this chair, you won’t have any trouble at all, and if that’s the case, then this one could easily be seen as superior to the Cleo GX, which we gave a higher ranking.

If the customer complaints are resolved, we will have no trouble whatsoever awarding the ONE Smart Chair with a second-place ranking. It really is exceptional.

What About Bench Style Pedicure Chairs?

Given Belava Elevate’s modular nature, it wins top honors in this category as well. The reality though is that there aren’t a lot of bench-style pedicure chairs to choose from on the market today. We did find two others that are well worth your consideration if that’s what you’re looking for, though, and present them below in the summary form.

Consider these to be both runners-up to the Belava Elevate:

Paris Double Bench Spa Pedicure Chair

Gulfstream Paris Double Pedicure Chair
3.8

Recommended For: Medium to large spas or salons with very specific aesthetics. Ideal for couples' spa days.

Check Current Price Read Detailed Review

These chairs are true works of art, and surprisingly affordable. They’re perfect for couples’ spas and would make a wonderful addition to most any spa or salon space.

As with most bench-style pedicure chairs, there aren’t a lot of creature comforts on offer for the client, but there are some here like a plush, well-padded chair, including large padded armrests for increased comfort, a shared front step allowing you and your partner easy access to the seating, and a drink tray pullout.

On the technician’s side of the equation, the bowls can be ordered in either stainless steel or glass. And they can either be configured with a discharge pump or use disposable liners to minimize the cleanup time between clients.

In addition to that, the unit has built-in storage for products as well as adjustable footrests. Each unit measures 72” x 51” x 59.5.”

Collins 62478 Cielo Triple-Basin Bench

Collins 62478 Cielo Triple-Basin Bench
3.7

Recommended For: Anyone looking to maximize the number of clients they can serve. An ideal choice for large spas or salons.

Check Latest Price Read Detailed Review

Measuring 117.25” x 49.5” x 44” this massive triple pedi bench would make an outstanding addition to any large nail salon or day spa. While it doesn’t offer anything in the way of creature comforts to your clientele, it’s an extremely efficient, comfortable design.

Even better, it’s offered in more than a hundred different upholstery options, which makes it easy to match it to your salon’s décor perfectly.

Whether or not you gravitate to a solution like this. This is going to be highly dependent on what type of salon you’re aiming to run. If you’re trying to create something that really focuses on catering to client needs and comfort, then this is probably not an ideal solution, but if you’re trying to build a volume business (with perhaps separate areas that are more designed to offer more personalized service), then a pedicure bench like this could be ideal.

Best Pedicure Chairs in 2024 Conclusion

Our goal in writing of this piece is to bring the best pedicure chairs on the market today to your fingertips to simplify your planning and research. While we stand by our top pick for the reasons we gave above, we recognize that everyone’s needs, tastes, and preferences are different.

Ultimately then, the question is, which of these is the right pedicure chair for you and your salon or spa?
