Jobri isn’t an exceptionally well-known furniture manufacturer, but they do have a reputation for quality. This American brand knows their way around the furniture market and has introduced what may be the perfect alternative for people who are interested in exploring the idea of a kneeling chair without having to fully commit to it.

Odd-looking. That’s the first phrase that will probably enter your mind when you see the Jobri kneeling chair for the very first time. And it is an unusual looking piece of furniture. That’s not to say it’s ugly, but it’s easy to see why some people would think so, it’s just…very different. The best way to describe it would be to say that it’s a fusion of a task chair with a kneeling chair. As such, it gives you the benefits of both.

Before we take a more in-depth look, let’s examine the basic stats that define the model as a whole:
The main thing to draw your attention to with regards to these stats is this: This isn’t a huge chair by any means. With a seat width of just 16.5” and a maximum weight of 250 pounds, this isn’t a good option for anyone who falls into the big and tall category. If you’re lightly built though, it’s a solid choice, even if you have longer legs.
Stats alone, however, don’t tell the complete story, so let’s dig a little more deeply and see precisely what the Jazzy Deluxe Kneeling Chair can do for you in terms of helping ease the pain in your back and legs.
Adjustability and Comfort
We won’t spend a lot of time on adjustability since we touched on it briefly in the last section. The only real adjustments on offer with this chair are these: You can adjust the height, and you can adjust the tension and level of support the back provides, which gives you more support when you’re leaning back in the chair.
Comfort wise, there are a couple of things to talk about. First, the Jobri Jazzy chair is clad in fabric upholstery that’s offered in a modest selection of colors. While the colors don’t matter except as a matter of aesthetics, the fabric is highly breathable and quite durable, making this chair well-suited for longer periods of sitting if that’s what your needs are.
The padding in the chair is conventional block foam, and there’s a lot of it, which makes it surprisingly comfortable. Even better, the Jazzy Jobri Deluxe kneeling chair comes equipped with two incredibly powerful ergonomic features.
The first of these is the seat design. While it’s not a waterfall edge style seat, it is sculpted for a better and more natural fit when you’re sitting in it, and the shape is designed specifically to take pressure off of your legs, which is a tremendous boon for people who suffer from sciatica.
Second is the presence of the knee pad, which, like the seat and seat back, is fabric-clad and padded with generous amounts of block foam.
When you rest your knees on it, you get to experience what it’s like to use a kneeling chair, and you gain a greater appreciation for kneeling chairs as a form of seating. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s amazingly comfortable, and it provides tremendous relief to your lower back, especially if you suffer from coccyx pain, as it takes the pressure almost entirely off of that region of your spine.
Note: If you suffer from severe coccyx pain, you may want to augment this chair with a coccyx cushion. Jazzy doesn’t make one specifically designed for this chair, but you can find dozens for sale by third party vendors.
The big attraction of these cushions is the fact that they feature a cut-out section in the back which entirely removes pressure from your coccyx, providing even more relief. Not everyone will need a separate cushion, so our recommendation is to try the chair as is first. You’ll know pretty quickly if it’s providing the support you need, and if not, the extra cushion is an inexpensive addition that will dramatically increase your level of comfort and reduce your pain, which will allow you to be more productive.
Big Surprise – Assembly Is Required!
As with most of the office furniture sold today, this one will arrive at your doorstep in a fairly big box and in several pieces. Assembly isn’t terribly complex because the production quality is high and the instructions are clear, but there are more pieces to contend with because this chair can do things that your average office chair can’t.
Be mindful of that and be aware that there may be a couple of points during the installation process where you’ll find yourself wishing you had an extra pair of hands if you decide to put it together by yourself. It’s certainly possible to do so, but it will take marginally longer. Solo, you can expect assembly to take about 45 minutes, cut to about thirty if you have a helper.

Pros and Cons of Jobri Jazzy Kneeling Chair
This is a difficult section of the review for us to write because we have conflicting opinions about this chair. First and foremost, it caught our attention and impressed us because it does something not many office chairs do. It provides a bridge between two markets that rarely intersect. That’s not only noteworthy; it’s spectacularly innovative. We love it.
Having said that, how big is the market for this product, exactly? We can’t imagine that there are too many people who:
That seems like a fairly narrow, very specific slice of the market to us, which leads us to conclude that this chair will be almost entirely self-selecting. You’ll either look at it and know immediately that this is the chair you’ve been searching for, or it will make you scratch your head in confusion, and you’ll keep looking.
Make no mistake, it’s very good at what it does, and it caters to a segment of the market that almost no one is paying attention to, but…the reason almost no one is paying attention to it is because the market segment in question is tiny.
Even so, we do actually really like this chair, so the above was difficult to write, and if you’re the right kind of person, you’re probably going to fall in love with it too.
One thing to note, however, is that if you ignore the knee support, this is essentially a task chair. If you’re looking for a high-backed executive office chair, this one’s going to leave you wanting.
Final Thoughts on Jazzy Kneeling Chair
Okay, so there’s not a huge market for this chair. Most people who are in the market for a kneeling chair are committed to buying one. That tends to be true even for people who have never used one before if conventional office furniture isn’t working for them, whatever the reason.
Honestly, we hadn’t even considered a hybrid kneeling/conventional office chair before we saw this one. Having said that, it’s actually a really good idea that adds versatility to conventional office furniture while simultaneously providing you the benefits of a kneeling chair. Best of both worlds. It seems obvious now, looking at the chair, but before that, it never even crossed our minds. Kudos to Jazzy for that!
Even so, this is still a chair that caters to a tiny niche market. You’ll either see it and have a ‘mind blown’ moment and have to have one, or you’ll see it and click past without a second thought. If you fall into that first group, we highly recommend the chair. If not, trust your instincts and keep looking.
