In a Nutshell:
The WALCUT Foldable Adirondack Wood Chair is a tremendous value for the money. Two chairs for about the price of one from some of the bigger, more established brands. Recommended for anyone on a budget, who weighs 400 pounds or less, and who’s looking for a good, low-priced Adirondack chair.

Do you enjoy outdoor entertaining on your deck, patio, porch, or yard? Suppose you answered yes to that question, and you’re on the heavier side. In that case, you’ve probably been frustrated by the relative lack of high-weight capacity furniture options.
If you weigh 300 pounds or less, you have many options. If you weigh more than that, the number of choices on the outdoor furniture market drops significantly.
You’ve probably never heard of the WALCUT brand. They’re an online vendor that imports various goods from China for resale here. The Adirondack chairs we’re reviewing in this piece are a good example of the kind and quality of products they sell.
We’ll be the first to admit that the WALCUT Foldable Adirondack Wood chairs aren’t perfect. Still, if you’re on a budget, they belong on your shortlist of options. In the following sections, we’ll tell you everything they offer so you can decide if these chairs deserve a space on your porch, deck, or patio. Let’s jump right in and take a closer look.
Key Features of the WALCUT Adirondack Wood Chair Set
Fun and functional—those are the words most likely to spring to mind when you see the WALCUT Foldable Adirondack wood chairs for the first time. Before we go any further, it’s important to point out that you can’t buy just one of these. They’re only sold in packs of two.
These chairs are a bit more lightly constructed than most other Adirondack chairs we’ve seen, and that, combined with the fact that they’re made in China and imported here, WALCUT keeps the price so low. For about the price you’ll pay for a solid cedar wood, American-made Adirondack chair, you’re getting two of these.
That’s a good deal, but again, the product quality here is significantly lower than other Adirondack chairs you can find on the market today, so it’s something to keep firmly in mind. Having said that, let’s take a quick look at the stats that define these chairs.
Chair Specifications
There are a few things to say about these numbers. First, they’re not enormous chairs. They collapse down into a nice, small package, so when you’re not using them, you’ll have a relatively easy time finding a place to put them until you need them again.
Second, note the seat height. While this is about average for chairs of this type, it’s pretty low to the ground, so if you suffer from any mobility issues, getting into and out of these chairs might be a challenge. That’s actually why Adirondack chairs aren’t popular with some folks.
Third, while the seat depth is fine, the width may be problematic if you’re close to the chair’s maximum supported weight. Before you spend the money, you’ll want to take a quick measurement to be sure you’ll fit comfortably into it.
Finally, while these chairs support an impressive amount of user weight, they’re fairly lightweight, which makes moving them around as needed a simple proposition. Unfortunately, they’re so light that they may blow over if someone isn’t sitting in them on a windy day. That’s not the end of the world, but it is something to remember.
If you decide you want one of these (well…two, since they’re sold in pairs), note that you don’t have any options regarding color selection. You’re getting two Adirondack chairs in a color described as “Natural Ramin.” While the name of the color isn’t all that appealing, it’s a neutral shade that will blend easily with most outdoor décor and color schemes.
Adjustability and Comfort
There’s nothing adjustable about the WALCUT Adirondack Wood chairs, so there’s nothing to say on that front.
Comfort-wise, Adirondack chairs are a cut above most other types of outdoor seating, but they are made of wood and have no padding, which naturally limits their capabilities.
On the other hand, the best way to view these chairs is as a blank slate. If you want to make them more comfortable, that’s easy. Add a seat and/or seatback pad of whatever thickness you desire, and you’re all set!
Some Assembly is Required
As is the case with most of the furniture you can buy online these days, the WALCUT Adirondack Folding chair will arrive at your door in a large box and several pieces, so you’ll have to do a bit of work to get your two new chairs ready for first use.
The production quality is good, but somewhat lower than you’ll find on many other chairs in its class. Nonetheless, the instructions are clear enough that the process shouldn’t be too daunting. Expect it to take the better part of an hour to assemble both. Note that if you don’t like putting your furniture together, these chairs can be ordered with an expert assembly option, which makes it a completely hands-free process.
Unfortunately, the expert assembly option is expensive and will significantly dent the value proposition, which is the main reason for considering these chairs in the first place. On that basis, we can’t say we recommend it, but kudos to WALCUT for making the option available to those who may want or need it.
Pros and Cons of WALCUT Adirondack Wood Chair
Here are the things we think you’ll like best about WALCUT’s offering, in no particular order:
On the other hand, they do have a few downsides, the biggest of which are:
Overall, we feel that the pros outweigh the cons, but some of the downsides could be deal-breakers for some users.
WALCUT Foldable Adirondack Wood Chair Review Conclusion
The WALCUT Foldable Adirondack Wood chairs are good but fall short of greatness. Still, if you’re on a budget and assuming you like the Adirondack style and the seat width isn’t problematic, they’re a great option and loaded with value. On that basis, we provisionally recommend them.
