Are you a hobbyist level user who wants a robust massage chair that doesn’t skimp on features?
If so, then you’re going to love our extended iComfort Massage Chair IC1115 review. From a functional perspective, this represents an upgrade to the less expensive 1114 model. So if you have read that review, you’ll note that the company has addressed most of the concerns we raised there.
In any case, we’ll go over every feature that defines the design, and tell you some of the things it can’t do so you’ve got full information to base your purchasing decision on.
An Overview of the iComfort Massage Chair IC1115
After speaking with representatives from iComfort, we learned that this model is identical to the IC1119. It was unclear why the model number was changed, but if you see those model numbers used interchangeably, that is the reason why. They are functionally identical.
Like the less expensive 1114 model, this one has an excellent design aesthetic. Since the leg massage ports are visible, there’s no denying that this is, in fact, a massage chair. But, as far as this and other iComfort chairs go, it’s reasonably stylish and attractive and would fit right in just about any office or living room.
Features of the iComfort Massage Chair IC1115
S-Track Design & Quad Rollers
The 1115 has good bones, being built around a standard S-Track, which allows the machine’s quad rollers to follow the natural curve of your body’s spine. Further, the quad rollers themselves closely mimic the feel of human hands, which guarantees an excellent basic massage experience.
Manual Roller Adjustment
Although the iComfort IC1115 massage chair does not utilize 3D Body Scanning Technology, it does provide buttons on the remote which allow you to manually adjust both the position of the rollers and the width of the massage field.
Some people prefer a more automated solution. Nevertheless, this implementation has the advantage of guaranteeing that the rollers are always in the right place.
A Surprising Number Of Options
This is a value-priced chair, so you might expect that there wouldn’t be much to talk about here, but you’d be pleasantly surprised. It offers the following techniques:
This is significantly less than the 1114, but it offers one advanced technique, which is significant.
In addition to that, the chair offers three pre-programmed massage routines, which are:
Also, the 1115 allows you to modify both the strength and intensity of your massage experience via the remote through three levels of speed and intensity.
In all then, this gives you more options than you might expect, and that is excellent to see. Check out this review for alternatives.
Air Massage Mode
Featuring 11 Second Generation Airbags, this is a significant upgrade of the seven offered in the 1114.
The chair does not offer a full body experience, but rather, are centered in the seat and legs. The calf massage is on par with every other massage chair it competes with, but there is no proper foot massage offered here.
Vibration Seat Massage
This feature offers minor therapeutic benefit by improving circulation and blood flow in your hips and thighs and is customizable via the remote through three intensity levels.
Unfortunately, it’s one of those “love it or hate it” features. Those who like it, swear by it. While those who don’t, feel like the chair is trying to shake their teeth out. You’ll want to experiment with it to find out which camp you fall into.
Fairly Simply Remote
The 1114’s remote was a bit of a mess, but the 1115 has made some improvements. It’s still not great, but it is better, and you won’t find a significant learning curve with this model. By your second or third massage, you’ll have pretty well mastered it.
Pros & Cons of the iComfort IC1115 Massage Chair
As you have seen in our iComfort IC1115 massage chair review to this point, this is a good design. It’s got a lot to offer and does a great job at covering the basics. Sure, there are some things the chair can’t do, but that’s always the case at this price range.
Regarding what we’d like to see in a future model upgrade, the list isn’t terribly long, and includes:
iComfort Massage Chair IC1115 Review Conclusion
By any reckoning, the 1115 is an excellent hobbyist level chair. It’s got enough features to please almost every casual user out there.
Although chronic pain sufferers will want to look elsewhere, if you’re looking for something for casual use that will deliver a great massage at a reasonable price, your search may be over.
