These are mostly good numbers. The only one we really have an issue with is the seat height. Normally, big and tall furniture has a seat height that starts at 18” and goes to 22” or more. This set isn’t even close, which paints it as furniture designed for heavier, shorter people, which more narrowly targets the set.

If you are taller, as long as you leave yourself room to stretch your legs out in front of you, you can still make use of this set, but it’s certainly not designed with you in mind.

Even better, since each seating component was intended to hold up to 551 pounds, there’s quite a lot of padding present, making these benches more than just occasional, short term seating solutions. You could actually spend an afternoon lounging comfortably here, and that’s a very good thing.

The seats and seat pads are upholstered with a polyester filament-based fabric that’s weather-resistant, quick-drying, and durable. Unfortunately, it’s not machine washable. When it gets dirty, you’ll need to just wipe it down with a damp cloth and clean it with a mild detergent.

Let’s talk about dirt for a moment. The upholstery is off-white. The outside is…well, it’s full of dirt, so your pretty upholstery is going to get dirty. Frequently.

Being off-white, unless you’ve got your furniture positioned in a sheltered area on your deck, porch or patio, it’s going to require a lot of ongoing maintenance. That’s’ certainly not a deal-breaker, but it is something to be mindful of. Finally, note that you don’t get any throw pillows with this set. You’ll have to buy those separately if you want them. We regard that as a good thing, though, because you can introduce splashes of color that bring out your personality with the strategic addition of some outdoor throw pillows, and enhance the comfort offered by the set at the same time. Those are good things.

Assembly is Required

Most of the furniture you can buy online these days comes unassembled, so it will probably surprise exactly no one to learn that if you order this set, it will arrive at your home in a trio of boxes and, you guessed it, unassembled.

One main gripe is that the set comes in three boxes. A four-piece set should come in four boxes, in our view. That way, all the pieces to assemble each component are in one place and not mixed in with some other component.

If and where they are, it needlessly drags the process out because the first thing you’ve got to do is to sort the pieces by component and work out which pieces go with what part. It’s time-consuming and annoying, and it’s easily solved if each component of the set has its own box.
