In terms of adjustability, the chair is somewhat less impressive. Sure, it’s got the basics covered. You can tilt and lock swivel and raise and lower the seat, but if you’re looking for a chair that gives you more than the basic options, this model isn’t going to be for you.

Assembly Is Required, But There’s A Way Around It

It probably won’t surprise you to learn that just like 95% of the office furniture on the market today, this chair doesn’t come assembled. It’s going to arrive at your doorstep in a sizeable box, and you’re going to have to pull and sort the pieces then put it together.

The production quality is on the high side of average, and the instructions are clear and straightforward, so those things aren’t going to be an issue or complicate your life, but there is one aspect of putting this chair together that will prove to be a challenge.

This model has arms that attach to both the seat and the seatback, which means you’re going to have to hold all three pieces in position while you try and figure out how to attach the fasteners. That’s a whole lot easier if you have an extra pair of hands available on the day the chair arrives, but it is possible if you’re doing the assembly solo.

Expect to spend about 35-40 minutes on the assembly if you’re by yourself, and about 15-20 minutes if you have that aforementioned extra pair of hands.

Note too that if you like, you can pay extra for expert assembly, which of course, makes that part of the process entirely hands-free. You’ll pay a premium for the service, but all you’ll have to do is sit down when the assemblyman is finished.

Normally, we’re hesitant to recommend the service, but in this case, you can get it free, or nearly so because this chair is frequently found on sale for nearly half off. At that price, you can afford to pay the extra for the expert assembly and still save some money, which is fantastic, and we recommend it if you can catch a sale.
